Scottish Intermediates 2018
Intermediary competition to bridge the gap between beginner competitions and senior opens. Medals will be awarded to the finalists and the champion of each competition will win free entry to both the M8 Open and the Glasgow Open. The Leon Paul stand will be on hand for equipment supplies.

About The Event
The Scottish Intermediates is open to fencers who meet the following criteria:
- Have not ever been a medallist in a Scottish Senior Open (last 4 for men's foil and epee, last 2 for men's sabre and the ladies' competitions).
- Have not ever been Scottish Intermediates Champion.
The intermediates is run as a development competition, but not just for the fencers. Running alongside the fencing will be a selection of workshops that both teach skills and help the competition run. So there will be a coaching course aimed at the competition warm-up lesson, there will be an experienced armourers on hand to pass on handy hints and tips while fixing any broken kit, and there will be some very experienced competition organisers mentoring those that want to help run the competition itself.
